The tour is lead by an interesting and fully-trained guide, is fun and safe and moves at a relaxed pace.

City Botanic Gardens
The City Botanic Gardens is the city's oldest park, originally planted by convicts in 1825 with food crops to feed the prison colony.
These gardens include ancient trees, rainforest glades and exotic species. They run the full length of Alice Street, bordered by Parliament House on the one side and the Brisbane River's northern banks on the other. Attractions at the gardens include Bamboo Grove, Weeping Fig Avenue, Mangrove Boardwalk and ornamental ponds.

There are free guided walks available. The tours run at a gentle pace, last approximately one hour and are led by experienced, friendly Volunteer Guides.

Queensland Maritime Museum
Queensland Maritime Museum is located on the banks of the Brisbane River at the southern end of South Bank Parklands.
The Museum is home to an extensive collection of historical maritime artifacts, books, documents and photographs. This collection is displayed to visitors in the various galleries and grounds of the Museum.
Open to the public every day of the year except 24 December to 26 December and Good Friday. Reduced trading hours occur Anzac Day. With low admission costs and a wide range of interesting maritime displays it's a great Brisbane attraction for families, school groups, tour groups, interstate and international visitors.
The Museum recommends 4 hours to see all of the exhibitions.
